With nearly two decades of experience in social work and psychotherapy, I offer a compassionate, non judgemental, highly skilled and evidenced based approach to mental health support.

Professional Journey

​

• 2007–2012: Began my career in Advice & Guidance before earning my Master’s in Social Work from Durham University.

• Barnardo’s (Disability & Inclusion): Supported children with complex needs, managed CQC-inspected services, and trained professionals in autism awareness and safeguarding.

• Barnardo's (Specialist Assessment): Conducted high-level statutory assessments, including Special Guardianship Orders and Capacity to Protect reports for local authorities and the courts.

• CBT & IAPT: In 2016, I qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy via the NHS "Improving Access to Psychological Therapies" (IAPT) initiative.

• Clinical Supervision: Since 2018, I have held a Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT Clinical Supervision, overseeing the practice of both trainee and qualified therapists.

•  In 2022, I completed training in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) with Michael Paterson of EMDR Masterclass, the training is accredited by EMDR Europe Association and the EMDR Institute based in the USA. 

• In 2025, I completed a certificate in Professional Life Coach with Transformation Services.

My Practice Today​

In 2021, I founded CBT North East, now known as 'Evolve Therapy and Coaching'. I continue to provide therapeutic and coaching support for children, young people, and adults.​

• BABCP Accredited: Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.

• Social Work England: Registered Social Worker.

• Practice Educator: Over 10 years of experience supervising student and newly qualified social workers.

• Compliance: I hold an enhanced DBS, professional indemnity insurance, and I am registered with the ICO for data protection
